MIKE Zero hotfix 18-11-2022
This hotfix resolves some performance problems in ABM Lab simulations with no Eulerian variables (standard concentration state variables). If you experience unusual high runtimes with such a template, use a text editor to modify the setup model file and add a PFS keyword to the section MODEL_DEFINITION in the ECOLAB_MODULE
[ECOLAB_MODULE]
…
[MODEL_DEFINITION]
…
options = 16
EndSect // MODEL_DEFINITION
Note that this options keyword represents a binary representation of different flags. The relevant flag is in the 5th bit and the numerical value to set this flag is 2^4=16. Please note that the setup must be started using the MzLaunch utility as the standard MikeZero GUI will remove any extra keyword.

Velocity at Maximum Flow Tool
The Velocity at maximum flow tool is a MIKE Powered by DHI Custom User Tool developed for getting, for each element in a 2D result file, the current direction at the time of either the maximum water depth or the maximum current speed, from a MIKE 21 FM simulation.
The tool reads a dynamic input *.dfsu result file containing H, U and V items, and provides the U and V velocity components corresponding to the maximum depth or speed, along with additional output items. Resulting U and V velocity components can then be used to plot vectors on maps
This version is developed for MIKE Powered by DHI release 2017.

Result Summary Extraction Tool 2022
The Result Summary Extraction Tool exports SWMM and MIKE1D result summary / report data to a shapefile. Both SWMM and MIKE1D generate a result summary/report in a text file. These summaries provide high-level insights to the system performance and statistics based on the results at the simulation time step (rather than the result file that only has data at the output time-step) . All summaries are saved as a table in the summary/report file and each table has multiple columns. This tool extracts the data table based on a user selection and saves it to a shapefile that can be added to a map for enhanced reporting. This is a free, standalone tool with no dependencies on any third-party software.

It also prioritize the maximum release rule, over the remote flood control rule, so the Maximum release will not be violated, in order to satisfy the remote flood control. At the same time, the spill release from the spillways is enforced, as it is supposed to model an uncontrolled outlet.

MIKE HYDRO hotfix 29-08-2019
This MIKE HYDRO Basin hotfix corrects errors in the irrigation water balance, ensuring that deep percolation from irrigation is routed to groundwater and that irrigated areas are subtracted from groundwater recharge estimated by the NAM model.
The hotfix also corrects two errors in the operation of series reservoirs, making it possible to 1) convey water through the natural channel when reservoirs are located on the same branch and 2) link irrigation users to the downstream of two reservoirs in series.
|
|
|
MIKE HYDRO hotfix 04-04-2019
This MIKE HYDRO Basin Hotfix corrects the need to limit the release of a Rulecurve reservoir to its maximum release while its spill should be unlimited. Besides, the remote flood control rule should not violate the maximum release of the reservoir in order to be satisfied, so it will stay unsatisfied, if not possible without violating the maximum release rule. Finally, the hotfix gives higher priority to the remote flood control release than to the water users. Previously the maximum release of the reservoir was violated, so the priority between water users and remote flood control requirement was not an issue.

MIKE SHE hotfix 28-06-2022
This hotfix enables a user-defined limit to the number of irrigation dfs0 output files produced during a simulation. The value can be adjusted using the Extra Parameters feature, by setting the parameter ‘MaxNoIrrigationLogFiles’. The default limit is 100.
The hotfix enables users to work around a bug introduced when distributed vegetation parameter specification was enabled in MIKE SHE. If a user specifies one or more vegetation parameters individually, using a gridded distribution, then the bug results in a generation of a unique irrigation dsf0 file for each grid cell of the MIKE SHE model domain. This causes MIKE SHE to crash if the model grid has more than ~500 elements.
We plan to provide a more comprehensive fix that will enable users to continue to benefit from the information in the irrigation output files when using a distributed vegetation parameter specification. The more comprehensive fix will be available with release 2023 in November.

MIKE 11 Hotfix 26-08-2013
If a simulation has ended unexpectedly MIKE VIEW cannot open the resulting file. This hot-fix gives the user the option of updating the result file continuously throughout the simulation to ensure that the file is readable in MIKE VIEW.
Note that to activate the updating the user needs to specify an updating frequency in the MIKE11.ini file:
The switch is in the mike11.ini file:
;HD-Variable no. 64:
; Output files may be flushed i.e. file header information updated.
; A value of 1 indicates that the result file will be flushed every
; time results are written to the file. Higher values indicate a multiplication factor.
; caution setting the value to 1 will impact run times.
; Default value for variable = 0 (no flushing)
;
; File_Flush_Freq = 0
;

MIKE HYDRO hotfix 22-06-2018
This MIKE HYDRO hotfix corrects the cross-section data sent to MIKE SHE in a MIKE SHE-River coupled simulation. With this corrected data, MIKE SHE gets a more precise information about the river bed levels, including all cross-section table points. It also makes the river simulation create a water balance report file as well as an error log file. Both file in html format. The water balance contains information of the water volume exchanged between MIKE HYDRO and MIKE SHE, from the MIKE HYDRO point of view.

MIKE HYDRO hotfix 13-01-2017
Since we installed Service Pack 3 for MIKE 2016 and MIKE HYDRO hotfix 01-12-2016 load calculator doesn’t allow us to use: SOURCES -> TIME DISTRIBUTION -> Distribute according to runoff. We get the error: “cannot distribute to runoff, because different properties of used times series…disable ‘distribute according to runoff’ or fit series used in panel “Catchments” to catchment definition in MIKE HYDRO”. Error doesn’t appear on Mike 2016 without Service Pack and Hotfix. The MIKE HYDRO hotfix 01-12-2016 has been removed from the available lists of hotfixes. This hotfix solves the problem, besides improving the error messaging in case any catchment time series has a different number of time steps.

MIKE FLOOD hotfix 13-06-2018
This hotfix makes the Advection-dispersion exchange of MIKE FLOOD models using Mike1D engine, to be triggered on upon check box flag of the couple file (“Apply AD-coupling”). This means ignoring any internal parameter in the couple file that it is currently considered.
The hotfix also disables the dispersion modelling at all water level boundary coupling links (standard link, side structure links, urban/river links). This change makes the concentrations to move only in the direction of the HD coupling exchange for boundary value coupling links, which is the expecting behavior of water level boundary coupling links.
|
|
|
MIKE BASIN hotfix 11-01-2017
This hotfix resolves the following issues:
- The calculation of the updated LAV curve was numerically unstable when the new zero level is close to the old one for reservoirs type I, II and III. For that reason the update will be postponed to later time steps when the new value is too close to the old one, avoiding these numerical problems.
- The routing of sediments had mass errors, resulting on negative values for the virtual sediment on reaches.
- Numerical error in the calculation of the new zero level for the sedimentation of the reservoir (levels of current LAV curve were wrongly read as integer instead of doubles).

The MIKE SHE preprocessor selected the wrong output location for detailed river time series output (H/Q) in many cases. When this happened the output was correct for the location given in the PP-print log file, but this was not the location specified by the user, or the closest available calculation point. With this hotfix the correct point is selected again, preferring the closest calculation point in the same river segment. For additional information the message “WARNING: Invalid chainage of branch [...]” will now also contain the actual distance between specified and adjusted chainage. Also, if the adjusted chainage is outside the branch segment bounds (allowing a small tolerance), an error message will be printed.

This hotfix enables the control over the z-level behaviour for ABM/ECOLab particles as in normal particle tracking. In the section “[SOLUTION_TECHNIQUE]” of the MIKE ECO Lab settings the keyword “type_of_vertical_transport = 1” (new default) triggers that vertical movement of a particle is based on its relative position in the water column, with “type_of_vertical_transport = 0” on its absolute z-position. To reproduce old setups manually set “type_of_vertical_transport = 0” and run via MzLaunch.exe.

MIKE ZERO Hotfix 18-03-2013
This hotfix resolves two issues:
- When the tool MIKE to Google Earth uses a 7 parameter datum transformation, the rotations aren’t converted from arcsecs to radians. Similarly the scaling difference isn’t converted from ppm to a normalized dimensionless value. This could result in huge transformation errors.
- The MZ Tool Georeferencing Image cannot handle all ESRI world files. It’s only capable of handling files with "Carriage Return"/"Line Feed" = CRLF. It cannot handle files with only CR. In this case, it throwed an exception.
