This year’s topic was ‘Mathematical modelling for real world water management’. The participants, who came from 25 government agencies, 24 consulting companies and 15 universities, had the opportunity to learn about software features and technologies as well as case studies from invited key note speakers. The event commenced with an opening speech by the Dean of Faculty of Technical Education, KMUTNB Dr. Panarit Setthakul.

  • Development of mathematical models and technology for water management in Thailand
  • Strategic policy and planning to implementation of developing appropriate and sustainable water resources
This year’s User Group Meeting was arranged in collaboration with Center for Water Engineering and Infrastructures research (CWEIR) and Faculty of Technical Education, King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB).

Advancing software skills with hands-on training

On the second day we had scheduled two separate training sessions. 149 participants attended hands-on training in MIKE HYDRO Basin and MIKE 21 Flexible Mesh respectively - gaining skills and a better understanding of using the software and applying it for water challenges in their own work.

We would like to thank participants, key note speakers and co-organisers for making this a successful and inspiring event.
