Well attended user group meeting in Bangkok in Thailand
On 28-29 June 2012, more than 100 participants from universities, consulting companies, and government agencies in Thailand were gathered for this year’s successful user group meeting, which took place at the Radisson Sukhumvit Hotel in Bangkok in Thailand.
The first day included several presentations, primarily from Thai users, on projects applying MIKE by DHI software. In the afternoon, DHI presented News & Views with insight into the new improvements and features in the upcoming 2012 Release.
The second day offered two training courses within the marine area and MIKE 21 and Water Resources and MIKE FLOOD respectively. Considering last year’s flooding issues in Thailand, flood management and prevention was also an important topic at this year’s user group meeting, where new as well as experienced users of the software had the opportunity to share knowledge and network with others within their field.
“We had two very successful days, and it was great to see so many new as well as familiar faces there. Overall, the level of interest was high and the participants expressed their satisfaction with the event. We would like to thank the participants, and we look forward to seeing many of them at next year’s event as well,” says Varaporn (May) Buranautama from DHI Thailand.
